SaunaGlo – Facility Use Terms and Conditions

House Rules

SaunaGlo, LLC (SaunaGlo, the facility) operates a nordic sauna and cold contrast lounge open to the general public and members. By signing this agreement and entering the facility, I agree to follow House Rules, and that those in my party will follow House Rules. I understand that violation of House Rules will result in my removal, and ongoing restriction from the premises, and/or revocation of membership, as well as the removal from the premises of those in my party, without refund of admission/membership payment. The facility reserves the right to modify and/or change House Rules without prior notice. For the comfort and safety of all people using the facility, we require you strictly follow these expectations:

1. Wear a swimsuit at all times outside the changing room. No nudity

2. Don’t make physical contact with others. No touching.

3. Wear sandals at at all times to avoid slipping. 

4. Remove jewelry that may restrict circulation or could pose a burn risk.

5. Drink plenty of water before, during and after using the sauna. Please, no glass bottles.

6. Sit on a bench towel while in the sauna. Either bring towels from home or you may purchase them from staff.

7. Gently pour water on the rocks as you wish, but check with others first and use extreme caution due to rising steam.

8. Silence all electronic devices and never use the camera or speakers or talk on a phone call.

9. We encourage socializing but do respect those wanting sole company. Please, keep all conversations calm and polite. 

10. Don’t bring shoes, street clothes, food or aromatic oils in to the sauna. 

11. Shower using soap after the sauna to keep the lounge seating clean and odor-free. 

12. If you are really sick, stay home and rest-up.

13. No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed at any time.

14. No weapons, including firearms, of any kind are allowed at any time.

The comfort and safety of all people using the facility, we require you immediately report any behavior that violates House Rules or makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any time and for any reason.

Access and Operations

At any time for any reason, the facility reserves the right to adjust hours of operations and/or close to the public during regularly scheduled business hours. I understand the facility operates on a first-come-first-served basis, and that my day pass, multi-pass and/or membership does not entitle me to access the facility unless the facility is currently open, and the facility is not within one (1) hour of closing, and the facility has available capacity.

I understand that the facility is child-friendly. All people under 16 must be accompanied by their legal parent/guardian. I agree that when bringing my children, they are my sole responsibility at all times and will ensure they are not left unattended unless the facility grants approval at its sole and absolute discretion. The legal parent/guardian of all people who are ages 16 and 17 must provide their written signature on both the terms and conditions and waiver form. 

Code of Conduct

You agree to treat all people with dignity and respect. At all times, and in all manner, you agree to behave in a tolerant, accepting and cordial demeanor toward all people regardless of color, religion, sex, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, disability, political affiliation, marital status, physical features, age, sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

Media Release

On occasion the facility may ask for you to review your experiences. Photography and videography at the facility may occur for promotional marketing materials. If you participate in these, you agree to allow the use of your name and image. You also consent to us publishing any materials produced by, or for, us for any purpose without your further consent, and you waive and release your right to receive any payment from the facility in connection with such publication. I acknowledge that I have no copyright or other intellectual property interest in the images and video footage covered by this release.

Acknowledgment of Risks

I acknwledge and understand the inherent risks associated with sauna use, which may include overheating, dehydration, slips, falls, and other related injuries, that may lead to serious injury or death. I confirm that my participation is voluntary, and I knowingly assume all risks involved.

Release of Liability

I release, waive, and discharge SaunaGlo, its affiliates, subsidiaries, owners, officers, employees, agents, and successors from any claims, demands, liabilities, rights, or causes of action arising from my participation in sauna activities, leading to any form of injury, loss, or damage to myself or my property, whether caused by the negligence of SaunaGlo, or otherwise. This release excludes any claims of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by SaunaGlo.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless SaunaGlo against all losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses, including legal fees and defense costs, stemming from my use of the sauna facilities. This indemnity excludes situations arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct by SaunaGlo.

Health Declaration

I affirm that I am not aware of any medical conditions that would impair my ability to safely participate in sauna activities. I have not been advised against sauna use by a medical professional. I will leave the sauna immediately if I experience discomfort, nausea, or dizziness.

Compliance with Rules and Regulations

I agree to comply with all rules and regulations set by SaunaGlo and acknowledge that failure to adhere may result in removal from the premises, and/or termination of membership and continued use of the premises, without refund.

Personal Property

I acknowledge that SaunaGlo is not responsible for any personal property that is lost, stolen, or damaged on its premises.

Severability and Jurisdiction

Should any part of this Agreement be found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts shall continue to be valid and enforceable. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Oregon.

Right of Refusal

To the extent permitted by law, the facility reserves the right to refuse entry to any persons at any time for any reason. Reasons for restriction of entry can include, but are not limited to:

1. People who are physically and/or verbally abusive, including vulgarities and obscenities.

2. People who are under the influence of alcohol, drugs and/or mind-altering substances.

3. People who have weapons.

4. People who exhibit language or behavior which staff deem as an immediate or potential risk to the safety of others.

5. People who initiate any sort of sexual language, behavior, or misconduct.

6. People who disclose personal health information that staff deem create unsafe conditions for sauna use.

Membership

SaunaGlo offers any person the opportunity to join the membership program. The monthly charge is regularly 125.00 USD, and under promotional periods it is 99.00 USD. As a member, you are granted access to the facility and its amenities, priority access when the facility is operating by waitlist under capacity limitations, priority membership renewal, members-only special events, partner offers, 20% off private party facility rentals, and other benefits. The facility offers 10% off to people who pre-pay for 12 months of membership. The facility reserves the right to amend or waive any membership benefits and/or costs at any time at its sole and absolute discretion.

When making the purchase of an unlimited SaunaGlo membership, I agree to the following:

1. Follow all House Rules, the Code of Conduct and all Terms and Conditions of facility use.

2. Provide and permit valid payment transactions at the rate of $125.00 per month (or [price] per month under promotional periods) on a recurring basis with automatic charges to the credit/debit card or bank account on file.

3. Forfeit all prior payments upon termination by the facility for violation of facility use terms and conditions.

4. Provide at least 30 days notice of cancellation to end membership for the next month’s payment.

Acknowledgment of Understanding:

I have carefully read this Agreement and understand its contents. I am aware that by signing, I am waiving substantial legal rights, including my right to sue. I sign this document willingly and agree to be bound by its terms, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
